CRAMER: Statement on House Passage of Disaster Relief for Hurricane Harvey

Sep 6, 2017
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives today passed a $7.85 billion funding bill for response to Hurricane Harvey:

“Some legislative priorities transcend politics, regions, and individual Congressional districts. Relief for Hurricane Harvey is one of those issues. Over the past several days, we have seen incredible moments from first responders and everyday people coming to the aid of their neighbors. In order for them to keep doing their jobs, they need the full support of the federal government to provide resources to get the job done. The nearly unanimous vote in the House today lets them know that we have their backs, and I look forward to this bill moving through Congress and to the President’s desk for signature as soon as possible.”
