CRAMER: PAYGO WAIVERS PROTECT NORTH DAKOTA SENIORS AND FARMERS
Date: December 22, 2017
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Cramer commented on the Pay-as-You-Go (PAYGO) provisions of the continuing resolution passed yesterday by Congress which provides funding for the federal government until January 19, 2018.
“As promised, there will be no automatic cuts to agriculture programs or Medicare due to the tax bill. PAYGO was waved and the doom and gloom forecasted by many politicians will not come to fruition as a government shut down and cuts to government services important to thousands of North Dakotans were avoided this Holiday season. I hope Senate Democrats will join with Republicans and help return regular order to the appropriations process in 2018.”
