Cramer Congratulates Turtle Mountain Community High School Students for Being Named PBS All-Stars
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Cramer today congratulated Colten Birkland and Alexis Davis, students at Turtle Mountain Community High School, for being named PBS All-Stars. They are two of 20 students in the nation to take part in a broadcast journalism workshop in Washington, D.C. for the PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs program. Each year, the Student Reporting Labs (SRL) program brings together teachers and mentors from across the country for a weekend of learning and inspiration. The selected youth will act as ambassadors to the program. In addition to participating in the weekend event, they will also be traveling to Washington June 29-30 to participate in the program.
“Colten’s and Alexis’ selection as PBS All-Stars is a recognition of their hard work and outstanding achievement at Turtle Mountain Community High School,” said Cramer. “They are proof of the incredible level of academic success which can be found at schools throughout North Dakota. I congratulate them on their selection and look forward to seeing them in Washington this summer.”
