Congressman Kevin Cramer (R-ND) Votes to Support National Peace Officers' Memorial Service
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Kevin Cramer voted in favor of a resolution authorizing the 32nd Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service to be sponsored by the Grand Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police. The ceremony honors fallen law enforcement officers and is scheduled for May 15, 2013 on the United States Capitol grounds.
“Each year, we honor those law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. This annual event is an important one not only for our officers and their families, but for all American citizens who enjoy the protection and freedom made possible by the dedication of these brave men and women,” Cramer said. “North Dakotans know well the sacrifices of law enforcement service. Last year, Bismarck Police Sgt. Steve Kenner and Burleigh County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Sleeper were honored in this ceremony.”
Congressman Kevin Cramer represents the state of North Dakota in an at-large House seat. Cramer is a member of both the House Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
