WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 479, the North Korea State Sponsor of Terrorism Designation Act and H. Res. 92, Condemning North Korea’s Development of Multiple Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles:

“During the eight years under the Obama Administration, North Korea threatened the United States and tormented our allies by developing and testing missiles and nuclear weapons – all without adequate repercussion. It is time North Korea be held accountable for its illegal actions. As Chinese President Xi Jinping visits the United States this week, I hope President Trump will urge China to use its economic leverage over North Korea to confront these threats. In the meantime, the bills passed today demonstrate a strong stance from the United States that North Korea’s actions are unacceptable.”
