Cramer Announces 2014 Military Academy Nominees

BISMARCK, N.D. – Congressman Kevin Cramer today announced he awarded Congressional nominations to the United States military service academies to three North Dakota students. Cramer nominated Ariel Warren of Mohall to the United States Air Force Academy, John Gasper of Bismarck to the United States Naval Academy, and Jayce Gravdahl of West Fargo to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

“I am honored to nominate such distinguished and qualified students to our nation’s military service academies,” said Cramer. “They have all demonstrated the skill and determination necessary to succeed at these institutions, and I look forward to hearing about their future accomplishments in the service of country.”

Students must be nominated to an academy by a member of Congress, the Vice President, or a Service Branch Secretary. Final appointment decisions are made by the academies. Biographical information on the students nominated by Cramer is below:

Ariel Warren, Mohall
Ariel is a senior at Mohall Lansford Sherwood High School. She is active in Science Olympiad, drama, Envirothon, speech, the National Honor Society, and is a Certified Nursing Assistant. Ariel’s parents are David Warren and Amber Minor. 

John Gasper, Bismarck
John is a senior at Bismarck High School. He is active in cross country, baseball, the National Honor Society, the Bismarck Rotary Club, and is a team leader on the Bismarck High School Academic Team. John’s parents are Francis and Sabina Gasper.

Jayce Gravdahl, West Fargo
Jayce is a senior at West Fargo High School. He is active in the National Honor Society, cross country, Skills USA, his local church, and was elected a Senator at North Dakota Boys State. Jayce’s parents are Theresa Gravdahl and Dave and Bev Gravdahl.
