Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Bud Cramer (Ala.-05) today announced that members of the Decatur-Morgan County and Huntsville-Madison County Chambers of Commerce will travel to Washington this weekend for the 2008 Washington Update. Cramer hosts this event annually with Representative Robert Aderholt (Ala.-04).
“Each year, I look forward to this trip and the opportunity to discuss with chamber members the vital connection between North Alabama and Washington,” Cramer said. “Our district depends on the federal budget more than most other congressional districts in the country.”
During the 2008 trip, the group will have the opportunity to hear from administration officials as well as House leadership and Members of Congress from across the country. They will also participate in meetings and briefings to discuss issues such as BRAC implementation efforts and economic development in North Alabama.
