Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has again chosen U.S. Representative Bud Cramer (Ala.-05) to receive its 2008 Spirit of Enterprise Award. The Chamber is recognizing Rep. Cramer for his strong support of businesses in Alabama and across America during the first session of the 110th Congress. Cramer has received this prestigious award 12 times.
"A rewarding part of this job is to be able to bring new job opportunities to the hard working men and women of North Alabama," said Cramer. "I am honored to receive this award and I look forward to continue working with the Chamber of Commerce to encourage growth in the Tennessee Valley and across America."
The Spirit of Enterprise Award is given to members of Congress who encourage business growth and development through their voting record. For 2007, the Chamber ranked members on issues such as trade, insurance, regulation of foreign investment, and infrastructure improvement.
