Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Bud Cramer (D-Ala.) announced today that SPARTA, Inc. has been awarded a three-year, $44 million "Offensive Missile Systems Analysis and Support" contract from the Defense Intelligence Agency's Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). SPARTA's Huntsville, Alabama location will manage and direct all efforts performed under this contract.
"I'm pleased that MSIC is awarding this contract to a company in their own back yard," said Cramer. "Since MSIC is located on Redstone Arsenal and with the already well-trained and committed workforce right here in North Alabama, this decision makes a great deal of sense. It is another example of the strong connection North Alabama has with our nation's intelligence operations."
SPARTA will provide engineering and analytical expertise to support MSIC's Scientific and Technical Intelligence assessments of foreign offensive missile systems. Contract efforts will include analysis, simulation, measurement, test and evaluation of offensive missile systems that have the potential to threaten U.S. interests. SPARTA currently has over 300 employees in Huntsville.
