Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Bud Cramer (D-Ala.) posted a link for North Alabama residents who have not received their Income Tax Refund checks from earlier this year. This link can be found on Representative Cramer's website, .
"I want to make sure that families receive what is rightfully theirs," said Cramer. "These checks were not received because of a wrong address or various other reasons and are sitting at the IRS unable to be used by the people who deserve them. I encourage all North Alabama residents to check my website."
On Representative Cramer's website, please follow the direct link to the IRS website, https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp. The IRS website lets taxpayers track their refund and gives instructions on how to resolve potential account issues. Taxpayers must enter their social security number, filing status (such as single or married filing jointly), and refund amount to track your undelivered refund check.
Taxpayers without access to the Internet who think they may be missing a refund, or need to update an address, can call the IRS toll-free assistance line at 1-800-829-1040.
