FISCAL YEAR 2008 APPROPRIATIONS

U.S. Representative Bud Cramer is a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee.  He serves on three subcommittees, the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, the Transportation, Housing, and Urband Development Appropriations Subcommittee, and the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee.

The Defense Appropriations Subcommittee determines funding levels for the U.S. Military, its programs, systems, and acquisitions.

The Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee provides funding for the transportation needs throughout the country.  This includes our highway system, our airports, and our railroads.  The Subcommittee also provides funds for economic and community development projects, and public housing programs such as Section 8 and the HOME Investments Partnerships.

The Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee determines funding levels for the Department of the Treasury, the Small Business Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the Federal Labor Relations Board.
