In order to promote specific policies and special interests, Members of Congress will often unite in smaller groups called caucuses.  Congressman Cramer is a member of the following Congressional caucuses:

The House Democratic Caucus

 

The Blue Dog Coalition, Co-Founder

  • The Blue Dog Coalition is a group of conservative House Democrats dedicated to common-sense legislative initiatives.  It promotes positions which bridge the gap between ideological extremes. Many of the group's policy proposals have been praised as fair, responsible, and positive additions to a Congressional environment too often marked as partisan and antagonistic.

The New Democrat Coalition

  • The New Democrat Coalition (NDC) provides moderate, pro-growth Members of Congress with the opportunity to advance a common sense policy agenda to move our country in the right direction.  New Democrats support policies to expand economic growth and ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to benefit from that growth; a fiscally responsible and efficient government; a secure homefront; and a robust foreign policy that includes trade, constructive U.S. leadership throughout the world, and a modern and strong military.

The Appalachian Region Commission (ARC) Caucus

  • Appalachian Region Commission (ARC) Caucus works to strengthen the economy of Appalachia in order to improve the quality of for the citizens of Appalachia.

The Coalition for Autism Research and Education (CARE)

  • Coalition for Autism Research and Education works to increase research and general awareness of autism among Members of Congress and policy analysts in federal government. 

The Congressional Arts Caucus

  • The Congressional Arts Caucus educates members on supporting the arts and promotes legislation that benefits the arts. 

The Congressional Caucus on Community Health Centers

  • The Congressional Caucus on Community Health Centers works to expand congressional awareness of the role of health centers in providing care.

The Congressional Caucus to Fight and Control Methamphetamines

  • Congressional Caucus to Fight and Control Methamphetamine works to stop meth use and production by directing congressional attention to the growing meth epidemic.

The Congressional Childhood Muscular Dystrophy Caucus

  • The Congressional Childhood Muscular Dystrophy Caucus works to increase awareness among Members of Congress and advocate federal support for wiping out the disease.    

The Congressional Children's Caucus

  • The Congressional Children's Caucus is a bi-partisan forum that focuses on health and welfare challenges of children.

The Congressional Correctional Officers Caucus

  • The Congressional Correctional Officers Caucus works to influence and promote relevant policies, practices and operations that are of interest and concern to correctional officers and their families nationwide.    

The Congressional Croatian Caucus

  • The Congressional Croatian Caucus works to continue the strong relationship between the United States and Croatia.

The Congressional Diabetes Caucus

  • The Diabetes Caucus works to improve the lives of people with diabetes and support research to find a cure. 

The Congressional E-911 Caucus

  • The Congressional E9-1-1 Caucus was formed to educate lawmakers, constituents and communities about the importance of citizen-activated emergency response systems.

The Congressional Entertainment Caucus

  • The Congressional Entertainment Caucus serves as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of vital information and as a forum to discuss and formulate innovative approaches to the many challenges the entertainment industry faces.

The Congressional Fire Services Caucus

  • The Congressional Fire Services Caucus unites Republicans and Democrats in support of fire service legislation that benefit all first responders.

The Congressional Heart and Stroke Coalition

  • The Congressional Heart and Stroke Coalition works to raise congressional awareness of the seriousness of cardiovascular diseases and acts as a resource center on heart and stroke issues.

The Congressional Historic Preservation Caucus

  • The Congressional Historic Preservation Caucus serves as a clearinghouse for information for members of congress concerned with the preservation and restoration of historic buildings, sites, and districts.

The Congressional Internet Caucus

  • The Congressional Internet Caucus works to educate their colleagues about the promise and potential of the Internet.  

The Congressional Law Enforcement Caucus

  • The Law Enforcement Caucus is a bi-partisan working group of Members of Congress who seek an open forum to address issues affecting the law enforcement community.

The Congressional Missile Defense Caucus

  • The Congressional Missile Defense Caucus leads Congressional efforts to develop and maintain a strong missile defense program to Americans safe from harm.

The Congressional Missing & Exploited Children's Caucus, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder

  • The Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus builds awareness around the issue of missing and exploited children, helps find children who are currently missing, and works to prevent future abductions.  The Caucus is initiating community, state, and national efforts to combat the growth of child abduction and exploitation throughout the country - like the Amber Alert, Code Adam, Know the Rules and other programs.

The Congressional Modeling and Simulation Caucus

  • Congressional Modeling and Simulation Caucus showcases M&S training initiatives of the military in a joint task force environment, promotes the M&S industry, and is a forum to understand the importance of such training to the battlefield success.

The Congressional Public Broadcasting Caucus

  • The Congressional Public Broadcasting Caucus works to ensure a strong and financially sound noncommercial, universal, educational broadcasting service for the American people now and into the future.

The Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus

  • Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus supports hunting, fishing and conservation issues in Congress. 

The Congressional Steel Caucus

  • The Steel Caucus is a bipartisan group of House members who represent districts with steel manufacturers.  Through legislation, roundtable discussions, and hearing, the caucus focuses on the needs of the steel industry and what it takes level the playing field for employers and preserves American jobs.

The Congressional Travel & Tourism Caucus

  • The Congressional Travel & Tourism Caucus was founded to educate Congress on a wide variety of policy issues that relate to and impact travel and tourism.

The Congressional Wind Hazard Caucus

  • The Wind Hazards Reduction Caucus works to seek government funding to support a National Wind Hazard Reduction Program that would focus on increasing public safety and decreasing the economic losses associated with tropical storms, thunderstorms, and tornadoes.

The End the Death Tax Caucus, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder

  • The End the Death Tax Caucus was founded to continue the discussion with policymakers, the media, and constituents concerning the negative effects the death tax has on American family-owned businesses and farms.  The caucus serves as a forum for respected experts to outline the positive economic impact resulting from permanent repeal.

The House Anti-Terrorism Caucus, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder

  • The House Anti-Terrorism Caucus was formed to provide Members of Congress detailed information about the threat to our country from terrorism.  It will provide background information, historical perspective, and analysis to Members of Congress about radical philosophies around the world that threaten national security.

The House Army Caucus

  • The House Army Caucus is a group of bipartisan Members that support Army policies in Congress.

The House Cancer Caucus

  • The House Cancer Caucus is a bipartisan group that aims to educate their fellow members about cancer issues and promote policies beneficial to cancer patients and researchers.

The House Nursing Caucus

  • The House Nursing Caucus provides a non-partisan forum for the discussion of issues that impact the nursing profession, and helps members of Congress who care about these issues to come together to address them.

The House Working Group on Mental Illness

  • The House Working Group on Mental Illness promotes mental health parity legislation by educating their colleagues, congressional staff, and other public policymakers on the need to eliminate discrimination against patients who have a psychiatric illness.

The Impact Aid Coalition

  • The Impact Aid Coalition works to strengthen the Impact Aid program and educate Members of Congress about the program.  The Impact Aid Program ensures that local schools have necessary resources for a quality education.

The National Guard & Reserves Components Caucus

  • The National Guard and Reserve Components Caucus serves as a forum for Congressional oversight and represents the Reserve Components of the United States military.

The Older Americans Caucus

  • The Older Americans Caucus works to address issues facing older Americans and share information concerning these issues.

The Public Pension Reform Caucus

  • The Public Pension Reform Caucus is a bipartisan forum designed to discuss, research and examine the problems facing Social Security.

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus

  • Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus works to increase awareness of the various forms of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in the United States.

The Rural Health Care Coalition

  • The Rural Health Care Coalition is a bi-partisan coalition of Members of the U.S. House of Representatives committed to advancing rural priorities in health care policy.

The Tennessee Valley Authority Caucus, Co-Chairman

  • The bicameral, bipartisan Tennessee Valley Authority Caucus provides input and oversight for the agency.  It is made up of Senators and Representatives from the Tennessee Valley region, which includes Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
